Stirling Institute of Australia is a dynamic and innovative Registered Training Organisation with a clear and definitive emphasis on the practical side of training. We believe the best way to learn is to experience. Stirling has a proven track record, high completion rates and employment outcomes of its students, and has quickly become one of the most popular and reputable registered training organisations in Victoria.

About the Role:

Are you a qualified Allied Health Worker or work within the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Disability industries and a qualified trainer who has delivered the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance?

Stirling is seeking passionate and experienced trainers to join our dynamic team to facilitate our Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, specialising in Rehabilitation and Reablement Support (HLT43021).  Our Certificate IV in Allied Health is one of Stirling's most popular qualifications, with our trainers responsible for delivering hands-on, dynamic training to amazing students from all backgrounds and demographics.

To be able to teach this qualification, you must have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and a qualification, or suitable experience, in Community Services.

What your engagement will look like:

  • Your core role is to deliver dynamic training to students, support them through their pathway and to mark their assignments.  There is no requirement for you to create or write training content.
  • Our Training is completed Face-to-Face within a classroom.  During COVID Lockdowns, training is delivered online via Zoom.
  • Encourage your students as they complete 120 hours of industry work placement, as placed by Stirling’s Work Placement Coordinators.
  • Your students could range from school graduates to mature aged members and come from a variety of professional and cultural backgrounds.
  • You will be required to work towards Stirling’s compliance requirements, such as completing attendance registers or supporting surveys.
  • The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is delivered one day a week over approximately 11 months.
  • This is a casual contract position – payment is based on your day of training and other factors, such as the number of assignments assessed.
  • We are seeking a trainer to commence in February and train from our multiple Training Locations, however we run this qualification several times during the year all across Victoria, so we are always keen to hear from those available in the future.
  • Find out more about our Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance qualification on our website, at https://sia.edu.au/domestic-courses/hlt43021-certificate-iv-in-allied-health-assistance

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or a willingness to upskill/gain this qualification
  • Passion to train and motivate others
  • Ability to deliver dynamic engaging training
  • Ability to deliver engaging virtual training (via Zoom)
