The DES Health Services Officer (HSO) is responsible for providing customers with a disability innovative, flexible, person centred clinical services, employment assistance and support that is focused on the achievement of life goals and career aspirations. Through the provision of evidence based clinical interventions, the role facilitates customers entering into and sustaining meaningful employment.
Responsible for linking quality health professional services to occupational goals, this role works in conjunction with a range of stakeholders to deliver health solutions to support ongoing sustainable employment. A DES HSO conducts a variety of functions including assessments, individual and group interventions, case reviews, peer support to key stakeholders and sustainability programs with employers.
DES HSOs will be required to assess and provide intervention for complex cases and may have responsibilities for customers in employment to support their induction, training and independence in the workplace. This will take place in collaboration with the DES PC, DES subject matter experts, Health Service Manager, Clinical Manager and the site Business Manager. You may be required to focus on one phase of assistance or perform a variety of activities.
