About the role


The IT Asset Officer role is a key role to undertake the responsibiity for maintaining the asset database and its associated equipment, procurement for IT, management of associated supplier relationships, management of various vendors across the IT team and be a primary contact for numerous business units within MAX.

About you

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language
  • Prepare, read, comprehend and analyse a variety of complex forms, reports, quotations, spreadsheets, plans, records, documentation and correspondence
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with the ability to lead and/or take direction
  • Perform under pressure, deal with persons acting under stress and adapt when confronted with demands that may appear unreasonable
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Manage multiple high priority initiatives in a fast paced, highly technical environment
  • Successfully perform the planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position

Required Experience 

  • Proven work experience in IT asset management
  • Demonstrated vendor management experience
  • Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Project experience is preferred
  • This position is open to applicants who are Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents and can obtain a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
