    Position Overview


    To deliver accredited training to students as part of training delivery of MAX Solutions RTO (0667), and administering program documentation in accordance with relevant program guidelines for Preparatory Programs, Social English, Pre-Employment English, AMEP Extend and SLPET Training programs.  To ensure students achieve the required competencies, including improvements in English, Language and Literacy and employability.  To improve employability of students by ensuring their training is tailored and linked to their employment goals and local labour market needs.  To mentor and support students in the development of skills identified that meet their employment and/or life goals.  To work collaboratively with others, including referral agencies, to meet the expectations of all stakeholders by focusing on quality service and course outcomes.This position may be required to deliver training outside of normal business hours (weekday evenings or Saturdays).  This position may be required to deliver training at different sites within the regions.


    Key Responsibilities


    • Conducting client interviews and pre-entry assessments, creation and up-date of Individual Pathway Guides Client Evidence Portfolios
    • Liaising with referring agency to obtain job plan or social inclusion strategy information and to provide student progression status updates
    • Referring clients to approved child care providers
    • Providing support to students to achieve successful completion of their training. This may include one or more of the following delivery methods as outlined in the Training and Assessment Strategy; 
      • Delivering face to face in the classroom and supervision during Vocational Placements in accordance with Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) and agreed delivery schedule
      • Training, mentoring, support and feedback of submitted work and assessments for internal or external students in accordance with TAS and delivery schedule
      • Contextualising training to meet individual client needs, and for pre-employment stream, aligned to their employment goals
    • Submitting all documents including student attendance records, file notes and assessments for processing to Corporate Training Administration team by the end of each week
    • Marking assessment and providing student feedback of all submitted work
    • Ensuring compliance with MAX Solutions’ training policies and procedures at all times
    • Ensuring compliance with all program specific requirements
    • Meeting program specific KPIs
    • Meeting requirements of external audit
    • Ensuring only current resources and documentation are used
    • Providing feedback and any recommendations to Program Manager, Educational Advisor and Lead Trainer and Assessor to ensure up to date and quality resources are being used
    • Participating in moderation and validation processes as required by the Compliance Manager
    • Maintaining professional industry and vocational currency and documenting in the PD register
    • Submitting an up to date trainer matrix on an annual basis or as requested
    • Engaging students by tailoring training to meet their needs, including those with requiring additional support
    • Maximising participation, attendance, completion and attainment, including ensuring minimum and maximum class sized are retained .

    Required Experience and Qualifications


    • TAE40110 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is essential for this role
    • Post-Graduate Qualification in TESOL
      • a teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent which includes TESOL methodology as a major strand, or both of the following:
      • a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma - a formal qualification awarded by an Australian university or tertiary institution, or its overseas equivalent
      • a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate TESOL qualification. This qualification must include:
        • at least 100 contact hours of content focus on English language, language learning and TESOL methodology and
        • a supervised teaching practicum of at least 60 hours
    • Completion of exit interviews
    • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures
    • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.


    Highly Desirable

    • Ability to speak other languages in addition to English.
