    Overview

    The Regional Manager is responsible For leading the delivery of employment services in line with the national performance strategy and labour contract(s) requirements for a specified region.  You will lead the implementation of employment services strategy across the region to ensure positive performance outcomes and long term success of the organisation.  This includes a particular focus on creating people capability within the region to support the strategic and operational outcomes of the organisation.

    Responsibilities

    • In consultation with the General Manager, developing a regional strategy that
      addresses local issues and business requirements
    • Implementing  National and Regional strategy across region in partnership with Business Managers and driving performance across the region
    • Champion the national and regional strategic direction across region
    • Developing and implementing plans to support the ongoing capability development
      of all staff and direct reports
    • Supporting Business Managers in responding to staff grievances, disciplinary
      actions and terminations, in conjunction with internal support functions as
      required
    • Monitoring regional performance against targets; developing and implementing plans
      to address low performance and celebrate success
    • Identifying and implementing  opportunities across the region to enhance performance, and monitoring outcomes
    • Developing relationships across the region to share information and ideas to enhance performance
    • Developing, implementing and monitoring initiatives to ensure that all services meet
      the requirements of the contract
    • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the contract and providing expert advice to
      service staff and management
    • Supporting adherence to new and existing MAX policies and procedures and legislative requirements
    • Building strong community/business partnerships by maintaining good working relationships with local community organisations that assist our job seekers and increase our profile in the community.
    • In consultation with the ESA team developing, implementing and evaluating Community/Business Engagement strategies

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
    • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)


    Key Skills/Attributes:

    • Previous experience working in a similar role.
    • Strong analytical, leadership and managerial abilities.
    • Human Resources experience would be an advantage.
    • Experience within an Employment Service environment would be highly desirable
