    Overview

    The Finance Assistant is responsible for efficiently and accurately recording the revenue and other activities of the divisions of MAX Solutions, whilst adhering to company policies accounting standards, tax and other legislation, and finance department procedures.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities 

    • New Customer creation and maintenance
    • Drive the end to end Revenue and Remittance Integration process, for a number of contracts
    • Processing of Customer Ad-Hoc invoicing as requested
    • Processing of Customer credit notes
    • Ensure Prepaid Revenue is recognised within contract timeframes
    • Receipting and allocation of debtor payments, including cash, cheques, credit cards and direct deposits
    • Debtor Aging Reports - circulated and accounted for each monthly period
    • Debt collection and credit control
    • Maintain Debtor Vendor Master file
    • Dealing with external customer queries
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliation for all receivables accounts
    • Other Finance Department responsibilities as required
    • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures
    • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

     Required Experience 

    • Past experience within an Accounts receivable role
    • Demonstrated experience with proactively contributing to the improvement of processes and procedures
    • Experience in the use of Dynamics/Great Plains financial system.

    Qualifications/Requirements – Mandatory

    • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check. 

    Qualifications/Requirements – Preferred but not essential

    • Bachelor degree of Accounting or similar.
