    Overview

    The Housing and Employment Program Case Manager is responsible for providing case management support and a package of services to clients.  The client support received is based on agreement between MAX Employment and the client on the training and employment that the client will undertake and in return, the private rental solution and other personal support that will be provided whether a rental subsidy, assistance relocating the client, health and wellbeing assistance and counselling or related supports

    Responsibilities

    • Identifying potential eligible participants for the HEP Program
    • Conducting comprehensive clients assessment including an initial induction, evaluation of each clients in regards to suitability
    • Providing tailored case management for each client to meet their individual needs
    • Working closely with Job Services Australia providers, community networks and marketing/advertising to promote and deliver the Program within their selected area(s)

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    Qualifications:

    • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)


    Key Skills/Attributes:

    • Knowledge of or prior relationship with any community/public/private housing support
    • Experience in providing case management to a range of participants with education and employment focus
    • Demonstrated ability to understand labour market trends, vulnerabilities facing jobseekers and to develop support plans that help HEP participants build a better future by developing strategies to assist with affordable private rental accommodation
    • Good level of business acumen and budgetary skills as well as an understanding of profit and loss concepts
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Anti-discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety, Privacy and Freedom of Information.
