    Position Overview


    This position manages the day to day workload of the development team (including their own active development on projects) to provide a level of technical accountability for our software assets and development objectives.  The incumbent will work to ensure the developers are cross skilled across relevant software product lines, and to rationalise technical solutions.  The position also is tasked with peer mentoring the technical team and peer reviewing proposed technical solutions for development.  This position will work closely with the Business Analysts to ensure that the user stories are translated into accurate, realistic and well estimated work packages, then monitor these through to delivery and review.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop solutions in .NET C# (Visual Studio) and assist with issues raised by developers
    • Provide technical leadership to the development team at MAX Solutions across all supported technology development platforms
    • Provide strategic advice, vision and direction to the applications organization at MAX Solutions to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals
    • Work with the Business Analyst team to translate technical specifications into assignable tasks for the developer team
    • Monitor and Manage the workload and performance of technical team members
    • Provide technical expertise and problem solving for developers in the development team
    • Mentor the development team members to ensure they are able to achieve their goals
    • Work with the Business Analysts assigned to the products to ensure Service Levels are met for incidents lodged against an internally developed product
    • Maintain and update the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Workflow
    • Assist with Change Management (largely handled by the Business Analyst team to clear the way to actively develop solutions)
    • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures
    • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

    Required Experience

    • At least 5 years’ experience working in software development
    • Excellent understanding of C#/.Net development.


    Qualifications/Requirements - Mandatory

    • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
    • Hold Australian Citizenship.


    Qualifications/Requirements – Preferred but not essential

    • Higher Education Certification in Information Technology (Development)
    • Microsoft Certification
    • Current Driver’s License.
