    This role is responsible for linking quality health professional services to occupational goals.  This role works in conjunction with a range of stakeholders to deliver health solutions to Government and private industry.  This role conducts a variety of functions including assessments, individual and group interventions, case reviews, peer support to our stakeholders and sustainability programs with employers.  This is a permanent part-time (3 days/week) position, based at our MAX Employment office in Rockhampton or Gladstone, assisting our jobseeker customers across both offices as well as our Yeppoon office.


    • Delivering individual and group discipline specific services, including assessments, clinical intervention, vocational assessments and counselling services (where discipline appropriate) that are consistent with MAX Solutions philosophy and quality standards
    • Providing services that are evidence based and solution focussed for job seekers returning to work
    • Working as part of an employment team to achieve goals of the organisation
    • Contributing to a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists and rehabilitation counsellors
    • Ensuring all administrative requirements are adhered to including all written reports and internal/external invoicing
    • Marketing and promoting MAX Solutions services whilst maintaining a high profile and professional company image
    • Maintaining and reporting statistics relating to the provisions of service
    • Contributing in the proposals for future health services businesses

    The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience


    • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current Provisional or General Registration with AHPRA, or Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration, or Social Work recognised by the AASW, or Bachelors degree level Rehabilitation Counselling with eligibility for full membership with the ASORC or the RCAA
    • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Blue Card

    Key Skills/Attributes:

    • Experience in psychology or vocational rehabilitation or counselling and mental health
    • Genuine interest in providing clinical services to assist some of the most vulnerable members of the community
    • Passionate and energetic with the ability to motivate others
    • An understanding of the role employment has in maintaining good mental health
    • A flexible and solutions focussed approach to practice, which links to employment
    • Evidence based practice and previous counselling experience
