    Overview

    The Home Tutor Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Home Tutor Scheme, including recruiting, training and supporting Home Tutors and ensuring the service provided to clients meets their needs and contract requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Provision of high-quality home tutor service to AMEP clients
    • Recruitment, induction and training tutors
    • Ongoing support to tutors and clients
    • Accurate record-keeping and reporting to meet contract compliance and KPIs related to service delivery and
    • business requirements
    • Maintenance of educational, vocational and support service resources for the use of clients and tutors
    • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by
    • all relevant health and safety procedures
    • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately

    • Strong knowledge of the VET sector and the National Standards for RTOs (2015)
    • Excellent skills in training facilitation and assessment within vocational area.
    • Required Experience and Qualifications
    • Demonstrated knowledge of settlement and other community services
    • Knowledge of AMEP contract requirements and KPIs related to the Home Tutor Scheme
    • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural learning environment
    • Demonstrated awareness of a range of cultural perspectives and sensitive approaches relevant to our clients
    • Relevant experience/knowledge in using technology, including email, internet and databases.
    • Genuine passion to assist others to build opportunities through education
    • Current drivers licence
    • Hold or have the ability to obtain Working with Children Check (or equivalent) and National Police clearance.
    • Highly Desirable
    • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
    • Experience teaching in AMEP or other language, literacy and numeracy programs
    • Prior use of government program student databases
    • Ability to speak other languages in addition to English.
