This role will contribute to the development and general upkeep of requirements within the RTO’s Quality Assurance documentation system for compliance with the VET Quality Framework, Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and other training contractual obligations. This position will involve coverage of a broad range of training services to ensure systemic systems and processes support compliance and quality of training services.  This role will assist with;

  • Maintenance and review of documentation relating to the RTO’s compliance with “Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015”
  • Maintenance and review of documentation relating to specific training program contractual obligations
  • Participation in conducting internal full compliance audits and ad-hoc audits of RTO activities
  • Assistance in the collation of documentation and evidence for external compliance audits
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure quality customer service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply regulations, standards and acts
  • Participate in the review and revise the Quality Assurance documentation system ensuring that reviewed documents follow MAX Solutions Style Guide, are well written, user friendly and compliant with the VET Quality Framework and Standards for Registered Training Organisations
  • Maintain Trainers HR files by co-ordinating the completion and currency of Trainers’ Competency Matrices
  • Assist the Compliance and Audit Manager with compliance monitoring and audits and compile reports with an accurate and comprehensive record of audit findings and areas of continuous improvement requirements
  • Coach staff in relation to audit findings and assist with understanding compliance and requirements within the VET Quality Framework and Standards for Registered Training Organisations
  • Assist in mapping and validation of learning and assessment materials
  • Provide administrative assistance to the MAX Solutions team as required
  • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members, including volunteers and contractors, abide by all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

Key Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Standards and legislation including Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and WHS
  • Ability to conduct audits, analyse information and identify systemic issues
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to resolve system inefficiencies or gaps
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports and provide continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and complete tasks within the allocated deadlines
  • Accurate data entry
  • Excellent people management skills.

Required Experience

 

  • Demonstrated experience in compliance monitoring and audit
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Standards and legislation including Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and the VET Quality Framework.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher level qualification.

Highly Desirable

 

  • Diploma of Quality Auditing or relevant skill set
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of policy and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in development of training and assessment strategies, trainer competency evaluation (trainer matrices review) and training and assessment resource mapping and validation.
