The Annual Activity Requirement (AAR) Field Officer is required to source, develop, negotiate, implement, manage and promote Annual Activity Requirement activities across a selected region. This position will foster positive relationships with host organisations, MAX operational staff, job seekers, lead jobactive Providers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Identify potential Annual Activity Requirement host organisations within the region that can offer Individual/ group placements that meet the demands of the region
  • Foster and develop strong relationships that lead to quality activities that meet the Annual Activity Requirement intent, the needs of the local labour market and skills in demand and the needs of job seekers
  • Work closely and collaboratively with MAX operational sites, and other jobactive Providers to establish community networks and projects that deliver the program objectives within the region
  • Develop and negotiate project proposals, contracts and agreements appropriate to self-sourced activities
  • Develop cost effective budgets for relevant activities within set limits as per current performance and revenue KPIs
  • Undertake, review and update risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies for all activities including AAR, training including online study, Path, NWEP and other work experience
  • Assist MAX operational sites within the region to meet contractual obligations in servicing Annual Activity Requirement eligible job seekers by identifying individual and group activities that provide real work like experiences and matching accordingly
  • Manage the ongoing relationship with contracted host organisations to ensure respective organisational needs are met
  • Manage and support job seeker attendance, participation and WHS needs for all Annual Activity Requirement activities
  • Timely and appropriate management, investigation and reporting of incidents (e.g. behavioural, accident, damage to property) per relevant guidelines
  • Regular review and monitoring of all activities and hosts
  • The development of timely and accurate ‘end of activity’ reports and acquittals
  • Promotion and showcasing of Annual Activity Requirement activities as required
  • Working within contractual guidelines, quality systems and policies and procedures
  • Regular reporting as instructed.
  • Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

  • Strong positive problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Good level of business acumen and budgetary skills
  • Knowledge of risk management approaches, including the ability to undertake risk assessments on Work for the Dole activities.

 

Required Experience

 

  • Experience in a similar role is desired
  • Business development and account management
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Anti-discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety, Privacy and Freedom of Information.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Business related qualifications are desired along with strong commercial acumen
  • Driver’s license as per relevant State or Territory authority
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
