Overview

The Placement Consultant is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective delivery of assistance and advice to clients who are eligible for Employment Services and assist clients to identify and achieve their employment/educational requirements.  You will also be required to identify gaps and blocks in potential outcomes and work through an activity plan and assess any underlying vulnerabilities that may be presented.   

Responsibilities

  • Working with a caseload of clients to set and achieve their employment/educational goals
  • Sourcing appropriate health and training solutions to address barriers to employment
  • Establishing and developing ongoing relationships with industry contacts and employers
  • Advocating to employers and generating new business leads, placing clients into sustainable employment opportunities
  • Providing ongoing post-placement support

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Have a current Working with Children Check (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain
  • Ability to undertake a Certificate IV Employment Services


Key Skills/Attributes:

  • Previous industry experience high desirable
  • Ability to connect with people from all walks of life to effectively manage a caseload
  • Passionate about creating new employment opportunities for clients
  • A team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated experience in new business development
  • Self motivated with proven experience in meeting or exceeding KPI's
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Computer skills – Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
