Assessments Australia (a MAX Solutions company) is looking for Psychologists with current AHPRA General Registration and Speech Pathologists who are based in or willing to travel to regionally located government schools in Victoria, to join our team of professionals conducting standardised cognitive and language assessments of students to determine eligibility to apply for the Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD).
If you’re a Psychologist and have held General Registration with AHPRA for 2+ years (ideally), or a Speech Pathologist with a minimum of 2 years experience post completion of studies and hold OR qualify for Certified Practising Membership with SPA, and have a background in conducting standardised assessments with children in educational settings, we look forward to receiving your application online.

This position is casual in nature and well suited as part of your broader professional activities or where you are seeking greater flexibility. Working as one of a large pool of contractors, assessments are offered according to your availability.
A willingness to travel to regional locations will increase the volume of possible work available to you (mileage claimable beyond 90kms per assessment. Should you choose to accept a referral requiring overnight travel, accommodation and meal allowances apply). We offer extensive peer support, professional development and flexibility. We require Psychologists located in the Melbourne metropolitan area and across regional Victoria, and Speech Pathologists located across regional Victoria.
Comprehensive training in our processes and procedures is provided prior to coming onboard, as well as ongoing Professional Development (PD) days - free of charge, and peer support. The training and PD days provided will add to your annual professional development requirements for the Psychology Board of Australia or Speech Pathology Australia.
To be eligible to apply for these roles you must have an appropriate Australian or New Zealand work visa.

*There is a small library of assessments tools which may be able to be borrowed by Speech Pathologists from the Assessments Australia office in Melbourne CBD via a booking system, depending on the time of year. Typically, Contractors are required to pick up and return a tool asap to ensure ready availability for the use of other Contractors as per bookings. During the 'busy' period for the business (i.e. late April through until August/September), these tools are in high demand.
